Muscle
Satō experienced gay cinema on a few occasions and “Muscle” may well be its most striking example. A tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini, the movie follows the cruel love story between a sensitive man and a hotheaded classical dancer. Also called “Mad Ballroom Gala”, “Muscle” is a romantic and erotic drama, whose Shakespearian conclusion captures the difficulties and paradoxes of love. The film’s soundtrack is made by British industrial band Coil.
