Macon County Line

Based on a true story. “Macon County Line” begins just as any classic redneck movie. Young people making their way through Louisiana. They pick up a hitchhiker, then their car breaks down in a village where they meet the racist and inhospitable sheriff. However, the movie then takes an unexpected turn, leading to an oppressing finale, raising an almost metaphysical terror. A pure southern enraged nightmare that gets us sucked into concentric circles of violence and a unique ambiguous atmosphere that gave this movie its drive-in theaters glory.
